    Gisele Bündchen

Marriage and step-motherhood have come naturally to Gisele Bündchen – who in February wed New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, 18 months after his former girlfriend, model-actress Bridget Moynahan, gave birth to Brady's child, John Edward Thomas Moynahan.

"It was definitely a surprise for both of us," the supermodel, 28, tells Leslie Bennetts for Vanity Fair's May issue. Yet the baby's arrival in their lives, Bündchen insists, has not detracted from her bliss. In fact, little John Edward has contributed to it.

"In the beginning you're living this romantic fantasy; you're thinking, This can't be true, it's so good!" she says "And then, Whoops – wake-up call!"

Chris Brown Dissed In Rap Song

Will Chris Brown plead guilty of assaulting Rihanna?

The 19-year-old entertainer is scheduled in court Monday to respond to felony charges that he attacked and threatened his pop star girlfriend, AP reports.

Brown has only made one public statement since the February 8 incident that left Rihanna battered and bruised. Then, Brown only said he was "saddened" by what had transpired and was seeking the counseling of his pastor and mother.

If Brown is convicted of the felony charges he could face the likes of probation or up to five years in jail.

While the public awaits the outcome of his plea, an up and coming rap group has already formed their opinion about Brown's innocence.

The Jump Smokers has recorded an electronic hip-hop record "My Flow So Tight" that suggests that Brown himself deserves to be beaten. The song's chorus is simple and matter of fact: "My flow so tight and the beat so sick Chris Brown should get his a- kicked."

Last week 15 rhythmic, CHR and rap radio stations in cities such as Los Angeles, Sacramento, New York and Houston have played the diss record.

The lyrics stay on topic, arguing that a boy who hits a girl should be "taken down" and that Brown should "come clean and tell the truth."

Jump Smokers member C.W. Griz said the group recorded the song because celebrities were not speaking out about the alleged incident. "I was really upset with the way a lot of celebrities and people were handling the situation," C.W. Griz told the New York Daily News. "Not enough people were speaking out against Chris Brown. What he did was a thousand percent wrong."

C.W. Griz added that recording the song was not an opportunistic gesture on behalf of the group. "We're not trying to take advantage of a horrible situation," he said. "We want to take a positive stance."

Last month, Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah also released a song about the incident. His track "Song For Rihanna" sends encouraging words to women who have been beaten by their boyfriends.

Ghostface tells the story of a girl so blinded by love that she misses and ignores the cues of a relationship gone awry. He dismisses the actions of a male abuser as qualities of "young boy" behavior.

Various blogs and tabloids have reported that Brown has been depressed since the mishap. I interviewed him early in his career, even writing his first cover story for Vibe magazine. I was glad that he was bringing much needed positive light to R&B music. I absolutely feel compassion for him during this time.

However, I believe that we all are responsible for our actions and have to be prepared to deal with any consequences that they might provoke. So if he is guilty of physically assaulting Rihanna, he has to bear the repercussions. And frankly public scrutiny is nothing compared to the ridicule Rihanna has received not to mention the emotional scars that will haunt her for years to come.

Hopefully, all involved parties and those on the outside looking in will learn a valuable lesson from this tragedy.

Billy Bob Thornton Booed Onstage in Canada

Billy Bob Thornton has hit another low note in Canada.

The actor-turned-singer, 53 -- who got testy during a Canadian radio interview earlier this week -- was booed while performing with his band, the Boxmasters, Thursday night.

"It seems as if when I say something it's in the news," he told the crowd, referring to his bizarre interview, during which he cursed at the host and referred to Canadian audiences as "mashed potatoes with no gravy."

The audience immediately began booing, according to the Toronto Sun.

Boo all you want," Thornton told the crowd, "but I want to say something we're really happy to be here, but I need to say something. I talked to this a--hole yesterday."

Thornton told the crowd he was irked that the host introduced him as an "Oscar-winning screenwriter, actor and director." He said producers assured him that his acting career would not be mentioned during the interview.

"I don't really like sensationalism," he told audience at Massey Hall. "If you look someone in the eyes and promise them something, and you don't do it, you don't get the interview. That's the way it goes."

Thornton assured the Sun that he "loves Canada." Asked what he meant by the "mashed potatoes" comment he said: "I was talking about the guy who was interviewing me."

A rep for Thornton defends the way the actor acted during the interview.

"This is a non-story," his rep tells Usmagazine.com. "If you watched the video you will see that he simply elected not to engage with the interviewer because of the direction of the interview from the outset."

Police Probe Mystery of Spider-Man Actress's Death

Spider-Man 3 actress Lucy Gordon, who was found dead in her Paris apartment Wednesday, is being recalled as a promising actress whose burgeoning career was set to flourish further.

The British actress, who apparently hanged herself, would have turned 29 on Friday – an occasion that leaves friends and family members further perplexed as to what triggered the tragedy. Gordon's French agent, Elizabeth Simpson, called the death "baffling," and added: "She was sparkling, warm-hearted, touching and generous, and we will miss her sorely "

Police in Paris have reportedly interviewed an unnamed male friend who is said to have found Gordon. According to The Times of London, local detectives have ruled out foul play.

Remembering his daughter, father Richard Gordon told the British Press Association, "We have always been immensely proud of her and her achievements. We love her so much. She was called Lucy and she has lived up to that: she has been the light of our lives, me and my wife Sue, and daughter Katie.

"She was a lovely, generous, unselfish person who gave her all for others and thought of others before herself ... She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated."

Megan and Shia – New Couple or a Stunt?

As the June 24 release date of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen approaches, it appears that costars, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are spending an increasing amount of time together.

Case in point: The stars were spotted on a coffee run together in Burbank on May 27, and Fox’s car was spotted outside LaBeouf’s house early that morning. But, is this a budding romance or a publicity stunt for their movie?

David Letterman Victim of $2 Million Sex Extortion Plot

David Letterman made a shocking confession on his CBS Late Show Thursday, admitting he was the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt – and that he had had sexual relations with female members of his staff.

Three weeks ago, according to a press release from reps of the TV host, Letterman found a package in the backseat of his car left by somebody claiming to have information about sexual activity between the 62-year-old star and employees of his program.

Threatening to go public with the news, the individual reportedly sought $2 million from Letterman, the current late-night ratings champ told his studio audience Thursday.

Letterman decided to take action. "This morning, I did something I've never done in my life," Letterman said as the cameras rolled. "I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury."

In his testimony to the grand jury, Letterman said, "I had to tell them all of the creepy things that I had done ... The creepy stuff was that I have had sex with women who work for me on this show."

He continued, "My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would."

He also said, "I feel like I need to protect these people. I need to certainly protect my family."

After contacting the Manhattan District Attorney's special prosecution bureau, Letterman participated in a sting operation, eventually meeting and handing a counterfeit $2 million check to the alleged extortionist – who was arrested on Thursday. In a statement, CBS said the individual in question was a producer on the network program 48 Hours.

TMZ.com has identified him as Robert Halderman, 51, a resident of Norwalk, Conn. In its story on the case, CBS News also cited Halderman as being the alleged extortionist.

Letterman concluded his admission by saying this was all he intended to say at this time and that he hoped to protect his job.

Letterman and longtime girlfriend (since 1986) Regina Lasko were married in March. They have one child, a son, Harry, born in 2003.

    Inside David Letterman's Love Life

Nearly two weeks after David Letterman first revealed that he was the victim of an alleged $2 million blackmail plot – and shocked fans with his on-air confession that he had had sex with women who work for him – the veil over the Late Show host's previously super-private love life has lifted.

And, as friends and other sources reveal, that love life has always been both idiosyncratic – and messy.

While one source close to Letterman tells PEOPLE that Letterman's affairs – including an alleged liaison with his longtime assistant, Stephanie Birkitt – "pre-existed his marriage" to Regina Lasko last March, it is his marriage that Letterman will be working to shore up as he heads on vacation in the coming week.

Lasko, 48, who dated Letterman, 62, for more than 20 years and is the mother of his 5-year-old son, Harry, never speaks to press and is rarely photographed. She is "wonderfully nice" but "long-suffering because of the length of time Letterman dated her but wouldn't marry her," says one longtime Late Show insider. "She was crazy about him, so she put up with the situation."

Yet Letterman was always drawn to other smart, funny women as well – including Birkitt, 34. "Stephanie is sweet, goofy and quirky, which is a major lure for David," says the source, who has discussed both Lasko and Birkitt with Letterman. "She's a peculiar character and David is fascinated with peculiar women."

Still, a source close to the TV host, if forced to make a choice, Letterman will opt to shore up his marriage. "The truth is," says the source, "he's 24-7 focused on his wife and son."

Billy Corgan: Jessica Simpson Is 'Worth Loving'

Billy Corgan is no John Mayer.

When asked by Rolling Stone about Jessica Simpson, the former Smashing Pumpkins frontman riffs on relationships in general but remains discreet about Simpson in particular.

"If I go, 'Oh, we're just friends,' then it's like, 'Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?' It has nothing to do with any of that."

Instead, he says, "Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that. My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It's really simple."

Sandra Bullock Steps Out to Visit a 'Dear Friend'

Sandra Bullock, who has remained out of the public eye since news broke of her husband's alleged infidelities, surfaced Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles, where she visited a "dear family friend," a source tells PEOPLE.

Bullock, 45, was seen at the home of Gabriel Brener, the head of the Brener International Group, LLC, a private investment firm based in Beverly Hills.

According to a friend of the actress, the visit was strictly personal. "She's not there on business," says the pal. "They've been friends for decades."

Brener and his family were guests at Bullock's 2005 wedding to Jesse James near Santa Barbara, Calif. The Oscar winner has also vacationed with the Breners on numerous occasions, including a 2001 trip to Greece.

"She spends a lot of time at his house," adds the friend.

This marks the first time Bullock has been spotted in public since she moved out of the family home on March 15. Meanwhile, James, 40, is seeking help at a treatment facility "to deal with personal issues," his rep has confirmed.

FacebookTwitterE-mailPenélope Cruz and Javier Bardem have always kept their romance under the radar – and their intimate wedding was equally low-profile.

Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem, 41, exchanged vows in front of family members during a small, private ceremony held at a friend’s home in the Bahamas earlier this month, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress.

The Spanish lovebirds, who are both Oscar winners, started dating in 2007 but have famously kept their relationship out of the public eye. Last year rumors surfaced that the couple had gotten engaged, but they would not comment.

When once asked about Bardem, Cruz refused to confirm whether they were even dating, but couldn't hold back her admiration, saying, "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."

Bardem won an Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as a killer in 2007's No Country for Old Men. Cruz took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 Woody Allen comedy, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also starred Bardem.

The couple first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992, one of Cruz's first films.
